The music video for Tell Me, was based on a sample by Groove Theory took a completely different approach to that of Flex. Both in the shooting style and the overall look and feel of the final product.

The approach to graphics and color treatment fit a 90’s retro flavor to match the music, utilizing both type treatment and post production processing. This video was scouted around different locations in Brooklyn and featured local residents from the neighborhood. Tell Me was shot with a small crew and shoe string budget.

The same was true for Flex, however with a much different stylistic approach to shooting and the final look. I chose various locations around LES and lower Manhattan and shot at a variable frame rate to capture the a more soulful feel and match the overall vibe of the music. Ultimately Flex was far more post heavy, pushing a sensual double exposure look and feel.
